"This recognition, bestowed upon us, Walid and me, carries profound significance. Although awards have not often been our companions, this one bears the name "Gandhi" and is deeply connected to a family's heritage that welcomed Gandhi as one of its own and continues to perpetuate his memory and values. It is a beautiful coincidence that, even before our connection with the Bajaj Foundation and this award, I used to teach about Bajaj's support to Gandhi, highlighting the land and house he provided to the Mahatma."

"I hold dear the wisdom of Mahatma Gandhi, who said, "To give pleasure to a single heart by a single act is better than a thousand heads bowing in prayer." I believe that if we all set aside our selfish desires and contribute in our own ways, we can create a better world for future generations. Regardless of caste, creed, color, region, or language, we must all work towards a more peaceful and loving world."
