Driven by a passionate vision, Mrs. Minal Bajaj aimed to uplift the quality of life for women dwelling in Mumbai slums. With unwavering familial support, this vision took concrete form in February 2012 as Hamaara Sapna, a pivotal initiative within the Jamnalal Bajaj Sewa Trust. This initiative was conceived and crafted to enact transformative change in the lives of marginalized women.

Hamaara Sapna supports various societal causes in alignment with Gandhian philosophy and its objectives. These initiatives include contributing to projects like Swach Bharat Abhiyaan, promoting afforestation, advocating cybercrime prevention, and purchasing products from other NGOs.

At 51 years old, Shanta, a resilient mother of 5 who only completed 8th grade, overcame the challenges of a child marriage at 10. Despite a lack of support from her family, she toiled in various jobs. Joining Hamaara Sapna in 2012, she delved into tailoring, computer skills, English, and yoga. Within a year, Shanta seized an opportunity to become a supervisor at the Tardeo center, transforming her financial situation. Balancing work and learning, she credits Hamaara Sapna for her success and continuous support.

Meet Jagruti Sarvankar, a humble and initially shy housewife who embarked on her journey with Hamaara Sapna in 2012. With the support and encouragement, she found in Hamaara Sapna, she gained the confidence to attend night school and accomplished her 12th standard in 2022. Jagruti's determination knows no bounds, and she is currently pursuing her graduation. Her motivation to complete her education is unwavering, and she has plans to enroll in additional classes soon.

Kalpana, at 53 years old, faced a challenging journey with her son who was diagnosed with partial blindness (Hemianopia) at a young age. Despite enduring social disparities and numerous rejections, she remained a steadfast pillar of support for her child. In 2019, when she became part of Hamaara Sapna, her hope for a brighter future was rekindled through interactions with like-minded individuals. Since then, both mother and son have adopted a positive outlook on life, never losing hope.​​ Today, Kalpana takes pride in her son's remarkable achievement as a senior product manager at a renowned organization.
